Frankish Castle Wall Design

Follow your passion, and sucess will follow you

The Frankish Castle of Parikia, Paros, was built to offer protection from raiders by the Venetian Duke Marco Sanudo of Naxos in AD 1260.

The exterior wall of the fortress is the part that survives today and stands out for its splendid architecture.

Built from the stones of the ancient buildings that once stood on this site, it still remains one of the the most important post byzantine monuments of the Cycladic Islands.
